Beautiful PCB Renders in Blender with Sam Aldhaher
My guest Sam Aldhadar is an accomplished Electrical Engineer specializing in power conversion and wireless power. I first met Sam when I reached out to him about his fantastic PCB renders. In this episode we chat about a IEEE paper published, how to make realistic PCB renders, wireless drone charging, power conversion topologies, inductance extraction, and a lot more. Sam was a blast to talk to and I learned I ton. Enjoy!

Automation API discussion & sneak preview with John & Ryan
Просмотров 284Год назад
In this video I speak with Ryan and John about their progress so far on the Automation API we've been working on. They share some demos and we get into the weeds about how everything works and some of the considerations that have gone into the project so far.
This is fantastic! It has really inspired me to try it out in Blender.
Just came to hear how you pronounce the name
same
I got sent here by Joseph when I asked about next generation logic analyzers, and enjoyed the watch! Did yall figure out the power supply noise issue?
@samerps grate projects you work on and awesome footages! Actually there is "one button") Just go to File -> Export -> PDF3D. In drop-down menu of file type choose .obj instead .pdf. Copper, solder mask and silkscreen can be also included. That can reduce time for UV unwrapping.
what is the box at 1:38 ?
Which box? The Saleae device? 😉
@@timreyes_saleae yes, the silver saleae box in the foreground at 1 minuted 37 seconds into the video
Yes, what is the LARGE silver box with the saleae logo on it with the two probes/cables plugged into it? Never seen that one before.
Are you guys building a real oscilloscope?
Cool! Any plans on making a Behind-the-scenes look for the FPGA side of things?
Thanks for checking! No plans at the moment, though we may consider making a "part 2" or a continuation via blog. Were there any specific topics around the FPGA design you were interested in?
cant wait for the next gen saleae!!
Thank you I remember that magic!
When will this be available to try? I have a Pro 16 and an automation task which this would be very useful for.
Hey Neil, I'm sorry I just saw this -- yes, you can try this right now (discuss.saleae.com/t/saleae-logic-2-automation-api/1685) it will be out of "beta" next week, in the next Logic 2 release. In that version you won't need to use environment vars to enable automation.
Thanks for the response Joe. That's great news and could really add to the value of the Pro 16. Looking forward to giving it a try.
When can we expect the next generation Saleae logic analyser? Thanks
Hey Krish, thanks for asking - it's probably is at least a year a way at this point, partially due to the super long L/Ts for parts right now.
